Roster of Dancers
Erin Hahn – is a graduate of Ohio University with a major in dance. Erin is currently a Senior Instructor at the Columbus DanceArts Academy where is the Coordinator of the PreSchool Dance Program. Erin has trained with the Lexington School of Ballet and in New York with Jennifer Muller: The Works. She has danced at Steps on Broadway, The Columbus Taps! Festival, Hollywood Vibe and LA Force National Conventions. She has performed original pieces by New York choreographers Mark Haim and Sean Curran. She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES.
Emily Golden – is a 2006 graduate of Otterbein College with a minor in dance. Emily received her pre-professional dance training at Dublin Dance Center. She has trained with Attack Theatre, Labco and Dance Alloy Theatre in Pittsburgh and Parsons Dance, Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance and Steps on Broadway in New York. Emily has performed pieces by Kristina Isabelle (cm2) and Heather Cotterman (Jazz Dance World Congress). She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES and Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
Hope Jamieson – is currently an incoming Freshman at the University of Arizona where she will be majoring in dance. Hope received her pre-professional dance training at Columbus DanceArts Academy. She has trained in Chicago (Giordano and Lou Conte), New York (Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center), Point Park University (Summer Dance 2006 and 2007) and The Allegheny Ballet Company (Summer Program). Hope has performed at Columbus TAPS! and in Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
Deanna Prince – is currently a Dance Instructor at Columbus DanceArts Academy. Deanna received her pre-professional dance training at Eleanor Pernia Studio Of Dance in Maryland. She has trained at summer intensives at The Rock in Pittsburgh and Ballet Met. Deanna has performed with the Howard County Ballet Company, the Arundel Dance Company and the A.A.C.C. Dance Company and has performed and choreographed for the Arundel Theatre Company and the Talent Machine Company. She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES and Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
Samara Prystowsky – is a 2007 graduate of Humboldt State College (CA) with a major in dance. Samara received her pre-professional dance training at DeAnn Dance in California. She has trained with Sharon Butcher, Danny Furlong, Jennifer Jaffe, Carolyn Carvajal, Cynthia and Andre Reyes. Samara has performed pieces by Sharon Butcher (A Body of Art and Body Shots), original ballets with Danny Furlong, FUSION Jazz Dance Company directed by Erin Fernandez and with Thrive Dance (American College Dance Festival). She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES and Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
Kim Skoglund - is a Sophomore Dance Major (Modern Emphasis) at Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a Dance Apprenticeship. Kim received her pre-professional training at Columbus DanceArts Academy. She has trained in Chicago (Giordano and Lou Conte), New York (Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center) and Point Park University (Summer Dance 2006 and 2007). She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES.
Rachel Smith – is currently the Assistant Artistic Director at Columbus DanceArts Academy. Rachel received her pre-professional dance training at Dublin Dance Center. She has trained at Otterbein College along with River North, Jazz Dance World Congress, Giordano Dance Center and Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago and Steps on Broadway , Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center in New York. She has performed pieces by Heather Cotterman (Jazz Dance World Congress) and Kristina Isabelle (cm2). Rachel has choreographed for Columbus TAPS! and Starting Over for eMbody Dance which she also performed in Columbus CARES and Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
Nicole Townsend – is currently a Sophomore Dance Major at Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a Dance Apprenticeship. Nicole received her pre-professional dance training at Columbus DanceArts Academy. She has trained in Chicago (Giordano and Lou Conte), New York (Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center) and Point Park University (Summer Dance 2006 and 2007). Nicole has performed pieces by Sandra Torijano (Summer Dance 2007), Jay Kirk (Point Park Faculty Show) and Rachel Smith (Columbus TAPS!). She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES and Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
Kay Whitney – is currently an incoming Freshman at Point Park University where she will be majoring in dance on scholarship. Kay received her pre-professional training at Columbus DanceArts Academy. She has trained in Chicago (Giordano and Lou Conte), New York (Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center), Point Park University (Summer Dance 2006 and 2007) and Allegheny Ballet Company (Summer Program). Kay has performed pieces by Dana Arey and Kiki Lucas (Summer Dance) and Rachel Smith (Columbus TAPS!). She has performed Starting Over with eMbody Dance at Columbus CARES and Columbus Summer Festival Dance Concert.
